The reality is that getting a good job is never easy.  But for men who are low-income or struggling to get off public assistance, the job hunt is even tougher.  Without appropriate interview clothing, these men don’t stand a chance of getting through the front door of an organization.  The men that will be served are taking positive steps to better their circumstances.  These men will be referred to us from a variety of job-training programs and agencies throughout Houston .  Each client will receive a business-appropriate outfit along with grooming and coaching tips for his upcoming job interview.  Each man will leave with clothing and the support and confidence needed to see themselves as successful individuals.  

By supporting these men, you in turn help the women, the children, and the entire family becomes economically self-sufficient.  Career Gear Houston is a grassroots organization that hopes to empower low-income men to their full potential of realizing and attaining a job.  Our commitment underscores every aspect of our mission whereby we function as a collaboration of many business partners, community leaders, and involved citizens.  There are many ways you can assist.  Here are just a few:

•   Make a tax-deductible donation of clean, interview-appropriate clothing;
